Reaching out to the world with God's amazing grace
Challenges in the Democratic Republic of Congo

• Lack of biblically-trained national lay Christian leaders and pastors in small villages throughout the “bush” slows the spread of the gospel.

• Access to education by children is almost non-existent outside of major cities or towns.

• Insidious poverty and hunger throughout the country—In UN classification, the Congo ranks 168 out of 177 countries in terms of poverty.

• Lack of transportation and communication infrastructure to reach outlying villages.

• Lack of internal (in-country funds) to educate and train lay Christian leaders, pastors and children, and help villagers break the cycle of poverty and hunger.
