Reaching out to the world with God's amazing grace

Statement of Faith

1. The Bible: we believe that all scripture is given by the inspiration of God. It is without error in its original writing (II Timothy 3: 16-17; II Peter 1:21).

2. The Godhead: we believe in one true eternal God who exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6: 4; Ephesians 4: 4-5).

3. Jesus Christ: we believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He is true God and true man (Luke 1: 35; Philippians 2: 6-8; Romans 1: 3-4).

4. The Holy Spirit: the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. He convicts the world of sin; He regenerates, baptizes, indwells, and empowers believers (John 16: 8; Titus 3: 5; I Corinthians 12: 13; Ephesians 1: 13, 17-18; 3: 16).

5. Man’s Fallen Nature: man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1: 26-27), but because of his disobedience, he separated himself from God (Genesis 3: 8-19; Romans 3: 23; 5: 12). Because of man’s sinful nature, he is totally unable to please God (Ephesians 2: 1-3; Romans 3: 9-12).

6. Salvation: because of his rebellion, man needed salvation. Man is saved by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2: 8-9). So, whoever accepts Jesus Christ as his personal Savior is eternally secure (John 10: 28-29; Romans 8: 1).

7. The Church: there is only one true Church in this present age, the “Body of Christ” (I Corinthians 12: 13).

8. The Spiritual Gifts: the spiritual gifts for the Church today are listed in Romans 12: 6-8; I Corinthians 12: 1-31; Ephesians 4: 4-11.

9. The Christian Walk: believers can have victory over sin through the power of the Holy Spirit within them (Romans 6: 11-14; 12: 1-2).

10. The Lord’s Supper: the communion of the Lord’s Supper, as revealed in I Corinthians 11: 23-26 through the Apostle Paul, is for the members of the Body of Christ.

11. Believer’s Hope: in the end of this age, Christ will return to receive the Church, the Body of Christ to be with Him forever (I Thessalonians 4: 13-18; Philippians 3: 20-21).

12. Prayer: we believe that prayer is a vital part of the Christian spiritual life (Jeremiah 29: 12; Philippians 4: 6-7; Ephesians 6: 18; I Thessalonians 5: 17-18).

13. The Commission of the Church: the commission of the Church is to proclaim the message of reconciliation (II Corinthians 5: 14-21) and make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery (Ephesians 3: 8-9). We must preach the entire Word of God in light of this gospel and strive to reach those in the regions where Christ is not yet known (Romans 15: 20; II Corinthians 10: 16).
